Rules of Play |
| 1. $90.00 Entry fee. | |
| 2. $20.00 Team buyout fee. | |
| a. All payments for entry fees, (t/a), and team buyout fees must be cash only. | |
| 3. An owner may only own one team. | |
| 4. A player may not be sold, with the exception of a team buyout. | |
| 5. Team schedule will consist of home and away games. | |
| a. Home team wins all ties with a safety (2 points). | |
| 6. There is no charge for making an acquisition. However, a team can only make 4 (t/a) every 2 weeks (Cut-off time to Cut-off time). | |
|
7. Any
(t/a) will not take effect until the next weeks games. |
|
|
a. All (t/a) must be turned in by the posted cut off time before the first scheduled NFL game of the current week. |
|
|
b. No (t/a) may be reported to the commissioner during any Dallas Cowboy’s game. |
|
|
c. You must know the players’ name that you wish to (t/a). I.E. don’t say, “I want Dallas’ kicker.” |
|
|
d. When calling to acquire a player, before you state who you want, please ask if any other prior trades have taken place. |
|
| e. Switching a player from your reserve to active and active to reserve does not count as a t/a. | |
|
8. All
rosters must consist of one quarterback, one place kicker,
four skill players, and one team defense. |
|
|
a. If you cut a player and would like to protect him, you can opt to place him on your Reserve Roster Position (RRP). |
|
| b. Only 2 RRP are allowed per team. | |
| c. A player is eligible for the RRP if he was drafted in the first 3 picks of the team, or he has been on 2 consecutive starting weeks | |
| of play. | |
|
d. If both of your RRP are filled when you make a (t/a), you must declare which player will be released. |
|
|
e. Any RRP can be re-acquired by only the team that he is being reserved for. |
|
|
f. When a player has been outright released, there will be a 2 day waiting period to clear waivers. |
|
| g. During the 2 day waiting period, the team that waived the player can re-acquire the player immediately. | |
| h. During the 2 day waiting period, if you as a team owner would like to acquire the player, contact the commissioner. | |
| i. After 2 Days at 7:30 PM the waiver is complete, the team with the lowest record will acquire the player. | |
| j. If a player clears waivers, any team can acquire the player at any time. | |
|
9. Trade Between Teams deadline is the posted cut-off time before the first scheduled NFL game Week 3. |
|
|
10. Points are scored from actual points scored; i.e. |
|
|
6 points = throws a T.D.; runs for a T.D.; receives a T.D. pass; returns a punt, kickoff, blocked punt, blocked field goal, |
|
|
fumble or interception for a T.D. |
|
|
3 points = kicks a field goal. |
|
|
2 points = throws a conversion, runs for a conversion, receives a conversion and defense gets a safety. |
|
|
1 point = kicks a Point After Touchdown. |
|
|
11. A player that has quarterback anywhere on his position designation cannot be drafted at any other position. |
|
|
12. Open date players will use their score from the previous week. |
|
| a. If you use a player that has an open date the following week, you must use his score for the open date. | |
|
b. You cannot acquire a player during his bye week to get his bye week points. |
|
| c. If you acquire a player during his bye week, he will not go on your roster until the week following his bye week. | |
| d. A player that is on his bye week cannot be added, reserved, or dropped. | |
|
13. Team consolidation to split winnings is not allowed and will result in each team involved losing the best three players. |
|
|
a. If you lose a player to this rule, you cannot acquire a player that was made a free agent due to this rule. |
|
| 14. After the Final Week of the season, a teams roster, that is not in the Playoffs, is locked. Also when a team is eliminated in the | |
|
Playoffs, their roster is also locked. |
|
|
15. It is not the responsibility of the commissioner to keep up with the playing status and well being of any players in the NFL If you |
|
|
acquire a player that is hurt or not playing, the league is not responsible. |
|
|
16. Please keep up with your team. |
|
|
a. If you keep up with your team. It helps the commissioner when you notify him of any mistakes that he might have made. |
|
|
b. If you notice that the commissioner has made a mistake, notify him immediately so he can make the corrections. |
|
|
c. If you notify the commissioner of a mistake that is over a week old, no changes will be made. |
|
|
17. No T/A or any other league business can be taken care of on TDCJ-ID property. |
|
|
18. No calls to the commissioner about league business will be allowed after 10:00 p.m. |
|
|
19. Loopholes or backdoors on rules is not allowed. |
|
|
20. The League Commissioner is exempt from league dues. |
| Draft Rules | |
| 1. Entry fee must be paid before draft. | |
| 2. You must have team nickname declared before the draft begins. | |
| a. Team nickname cannot be nicknames from any major professional sports team. | |
| 3. All paper drafts must be honored. No owner may make a last minute decision for another owner. The owner that is present for the | |
| draft, which is drafting by paper for the other owner, must show proof to a commissioner after every paper draft selection. | |
| 4. The order of the draft is as follows | |
| a. All teams are placed in their respective division/conference, and are given a team number, which is used to help select draft | |
| positions, and schedule to be played. | |
| 1. First year teams will not be put in the same division, unless the amount of teams out number the amount of divisions. | |
| b. Draft order is selected from last pick, to first pick. The seventh round is the only round that does not flip-flop with another round. | |
| The rounds that flip-flop are 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th. | |
| c. The first number selected in the 2nd, 4th, & 6th rounds will be the first pick of that round, and the last pick of the 1st, 3rd, & 5th | |
| rounds. | |
| d. After all the draft positions have been made, there will be a brief period of time before the draft starts to allow teams to propose | |
| or make trades. When it is apparent that no further trades will be made, the draft begins. | |
| 5. There is no time limit to make your selection. We would like to keep it that way, so please make your selection as fast as possible. | |
| 6. During the draft, trades are allowed. | |
| 7. No lopsided trades are allowed; all parties of a trade must receive something in return. | |
| 8. After the draft is completed, there will be a brief period of time to evaluate your team, make trades, or cut and acquire players for | |
| free. | |
| a. All non charged trades or changes after the draft will last until the posted cut-off time prior to the first week of the Regular Season. | |

Tie Breaking Procedures |
|
| Playoffs: | |
| TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN THE DIVISION | |
| If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost record, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined. | |
| TWO CLUBS | |
| 1. Head-to-head (best won-lost record in games between clubs). | |
| 2. Best won-lost record in games played within the division. | |
| 3. Best net points in all games. | |
| 4. Coin toss | |
| THREE OR MORE CLUBS | |
| (Note: If two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated during any step, tie-breaker reverts to step 1 of the two-club format. Also 1 Club can advance in any step.) | |
| SAME AS TWO-CLUB FORMAT | |
| TO BREAK A TIE FOR THE WILD CARD TEAM | |
| If it is necessary to break ties to determine the Wild Card clubs, the following steps will be taken. | |
| 1. If the tied clubs are from the same division, apply division tiebreaker. | |
| 2. If the tied clubs are from different divisions, apply the following steps. | |
| TWO CLUBS | |
| 1. Head-to-head, if applicable. | |
| 2. Best net points in all games. | |
| 3. Coin toss. | |
| THREE OR MORE CLUBS | |
| (Note: If two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated during any step, tiebreaker reverts to step 1 of applicable two-club format. Also 1 Club can advance in any step.) | |

| Only one club advances to the playoffs in any tie-breaking step. Remaining tied clubs revert to the first step of the applicable tiebreaker procedure. | |
